AMENDMENT No, 3

This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents, and modifies the original drawings and specifications dated 07/27/2014 and any addenda to this bid package previously issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to notify all Subcontractors from whom he accepts bids of all changes in the drawings and specifications covering this project.

Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on the bid form.

Please see the following questions and answers.

QUESTION: What size is the pipe railing shown on details 2 & 5 on sheet A8.1?

ANSWER: The pipe sizes for the railing have been clarified on the attached A8.1, Delta 2. The vertical post is 6" O.D. and the horizontal rails are 4" O.D.

QUESTION: Throughout the project plans a high density styrofoam fill is called out in between the metal decking, concrete fill and the top of concrete slab, is there a specification for the type of styrofoam fill?

ANSWER: High density styrofoam fill to be ASTM D6817, Type EPS29.

Questions: Per Specification section 07-01-31, Crack Injection is part of the project. I have not seen specific areas of crack injection called out on the plans, is there project documents showing Crack Injection locations so we can provide quantities for bidding purposes?

ANSWER: Crack injection is specified to correct deficiencies in new concrete. Per Section 033300, Paragraph 1.7.H.3., assume 100 lineal feet of crack injection for bidding purposes.

Update #4 ·

AMENDMENT #2

See the following question and clarification:

QUESTION: The specification for the Food Service Equipment is Section 11 40 00. In 1.02 General Instructions to Bidders it instructs that the food service equipment is to be installed by the KEC (Kitchen Equipment Contractor). It does not tell us if this is a contractor hired by National Park Service, the concessionaire or the general contractor. The full set of Food Service drawings is included in the bid documents. They however do not address who is contracting with the KEC either. The only indication of NIC (not in contract) is in the Equipment and Utility Schedule on sheet FS2-0 under the Other Information. This is also in conflict as item B10 - Under Counter Dishwasher is marked as NIC but included in the specification under Food Service Equipment Brochures.
The question I need answered is "who hires and contracts with the KEC?"

CLARIFICATION: All the equipment to be installed by the contractor is shown on Sheet FS2.0, refer to the column on the right. Equipment labeled as NIC is not required to be provided or installed by the contractor. The equipment not labeled as NIC is to be installed by the contractor or a subcontractor hired by the contractor. Under counter dishwasher is NIC, and will be provided and installed by others.
