About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Education seeks chain link fence installation at Lake Valley Navajo School in Crownpoint, New Mexico, with quotes due September 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time. The procurement is set-aside 100% for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE), and questions are due September 16, 2026.

Amendment P00001, effective as of September 10, 2026, revised the statement of work, moved the mandatory site visit to Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., and extended the question deadline to Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The project scope requires furnishing and installing approximately 610 linear feet of chain link fencing and seven walk-in gates across two locations: approximately 260 linear feet of 4-foot-high fencing with three gates around the playground, and approximately 350 linear feet of 6-foot-high fencing with four gates around the basketball court. All fencing must be 9-gauge hot-dip galvanized chain-link fabric with 2-inch mesh, 1-7/8-inch outside-diameter line posts spaced approximately 10 feet apart, and 1-5/8-inch top rail. The contractor provides all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and site coordination; project performance is expected within 120 days of Notice to Proceed.

The estimated contract value ranges from $25,000 to $100,000. Bonding applies to quotes exceeding $35,000: bid bond at 20% of contract price, performance bond at 100%, and payment bond at 100%. Bidders must comply with FAR Clause 52.228-11 (Pledge of Assets) and provide either third-party indemnification agreements or surety affidavits at bid opening; failure to submit appropriate documentation results in bid rejection.

Award will be made to the lowest-priced offer from a responsible and responsive firm. Offerors must be registered in SAM and submit DIAR 1452.280-4 (IEE Representation) with quotations. NAICS code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply to labor on this project.
