The procurement requires a contractor to provide all necessary materials, labor, tools, equipment, and services to complete a 1.2-Megawatt (MW) power and cooling system upgrade project. Key procurement milestones include a Solicitation Overview Meeting on 3/13/25, a mandatory Site Visit on 3/17/25, and a questions deadline of 3/19/25, with final offer submissions due electronically by 4:00 PM on 4/1/25. Electronic submissions must be sent directly to Joseph Famiglietti at jfamiglie@bnl.gov, with BSA reserving the right to reject any or all offers.

The solicitation is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting smaller contractors within the Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction (NAICS 237130) category. The project will be performed at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY, with a focus on upgrading scientific computing infrastructure. While specific award values are not disclosed, the project involves substantial electrical and cooling system enhancements for a critical scientific research facility. The procurement falls under the Installation of Equipment-Electric Wire and Power Distribution Equipment product service code (PSC N061), indicating a specialized technical infrastructure improvement project. Potential contractors should carefully review the complete solicitation documents, which can be accessed through the provided SharePoint link, and must demonstrate expertise in complex power and cooling system upgrades for scientific research environments.
