About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is soliciting quotes for temporary hotel accommodations to support an Airshow 2026 event at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. The requirement involves securing 70 total hotel rooms—50 individual rooms with king beds, 20 individual rooms with double beds, and 3 double rooms as contingency—for a four-night stay from March 26-30, 2026. Hotels must be located either in Sumter City (20 rooms) or within a 45-50 minute drive to Shaw AFB (remaining 50 rooms), with rooms not required to be at a single property. Evaluation will be based on lowest price among technically acceptable offers, with the government evaluating the three lowest-priced offers for technical acceptability first and continuing evaluation until three technically acceptable offers are identified. All proposals must include a technical narrative not exceeding 5 pages demonstrating compliance with salient characteristics, pricing details, contractor information with CAGE code, and completed representations and certifications. The deadline for questions is February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST, and the solicitation deadline has been extended to February 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside and is restricted to women-owned small businesses (WOSB), including economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSB). The solicitation number is FA480326Q0016, with a maximum award amount of $40,000,000, though this represents a standard ceiling rather than the actual expected contract value. Key requirements include rooms with individual locking doors, 24-hour cancellation terms, one parking spot per room, and individually locked rooms with 24-hour desk service; breakfast is preferred but not mandatory. Offerors must submit quotes excluding taxes, as the government will not pay any taxes on the accommodations. Performance is scheduled to conclude on March 30, 2026, with place of performance at Shaw AFB, SC 29152, and payment will be processed through Wide Area Workflow upon award and satisfactory performance.
