About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region seeks seasonal fire lodging accommodations in Ely, Nevada, with proposals due May 21, 2026 at 1 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. This is a total small business set-aside, and the procurement is a recompete of a prior contract awarded to Hawkeye Properties LLC at $75,600.

Amendment 3, effective May 19, modifies the requirement from a minimum of six double-occupancy rooms to nine single-occupancy rooms. The period of performance runs June 9 through October 30, 2026 (145 days). Accommodations must house 4 to 13 seasonal fire employees whose primary residence will be at the facility, accommodate parking for 1 to 8 vehicles, and allow employees to remain absent for up to 21 days on fire assignments without checking out or removing personal belongings.

Acceptable accommodations include hotels, motels, houses, or apartments. Hotel-motel rooms must include twice-weekly maid service with linen and towel changes, HVAC, television, phone, micro-fridge, microwave, and one bed per room. House or apartment accommodations must provide three furnished or unfurnished single-occupancy bedrooms with full-size refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, bathroom with shower and toilet, and HVAC available 24/7, with utilities included in the bid price. Bidders must clearly identify early termination costs and required notice periods, and provide a per-person-per-day rate. The government prefers lodging within a 5-mile radius of Ely to support a required 30-minute commute to fire call notification, though nearby towns are acceptable if all Statement of Work requirements are met.

NAICS 721110, Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels, with a $40 million size standard. PSC V231. Service Contract Act wage determination 2015-5601 (White Pine County) applies. Evaluation emphasizes past performance and technical merit over price. Offerors must provide three past performance references for similar lodging contracts completed within five years. Questions are due by May 7, 2026. Contract is firm fixed-price, single award anticipated.
