About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Windhoek is seeking comprehensive and third-party liability motor vehicle insurance for its Center for Disease Control and Prevention Offices through a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Department of State is the procuring federal agency, targeting vendors, contractors, or brokers specializing in insurance services within the Other Insurance Related Activities NAICS category. A fixed-price contract is anticipated, with the potential for award based on initial offers without further discussion. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for the contract. The solicitation is expected to be published on SAM.gov and the U.S. Embassy website around mid-May 2025, with a current pre-solicitation response deadline of April 23, 2025. Potential vendors with questions are instructed to contact Whkproc@state.gov for additional information.
While no specific set-aside designations are currently noted, the contract appears to be open to competitive bidding. The precise award value and specific insurance coverage requirements will be detailed in the full Statement of Work accompanying the future solicitation. The contract will cover motor vehicle insurance for CDC offices, suggesting a potentially localized but comprehensive insurance package. The timeline indicates the contract will be issued in May 2025, with an expected fixed-price duration that will be specified in the full RFQ. Vendors should carefully review the upcoming solicitation documents to understand the full scope of insurance services required, which will likely include detailed coverage specifications for comprehensive and third-party liability protections for the embassy's vehicle fleet.
