About this file
This document is Part C: Supplemental Conditions/Special Provisions for the West Building Overhead Catwalk Lighting Installation project (Y25-718) for the Orange County Convention Center in Florida. The project involves installing overhead catwalk lighting with an anticipated construction duration of 310 consecutive calendar days from the official Notice to Proceed, followed by a 30-day final completion period. Work is restricted due to ongoing convention center events, with contractor work hours anticipated from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and limited site availability seven days per week. Liquidated damages of $500 per day for substantial completion and $250 per day for final completion will be applied if the project exceeds the specified timelines.
The project requires extensive administrative and safety compliance, including mandatory FDLE Level 1 (5-year) background checks for all contractor and subcontractor personnel, daily construction reporting via e-Builder, and strict fire protection system protocols. Contractors must provide their own e-Builder license (approximately $2,050 per year), maintain continuous on-site supervision, submit monthly progress reports, and adhere to specific work restrictions such as covering exposed work areas and managing construction waste disposal. The estimated project cost is $1,695,671.00, with electronic bid submissions required through the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform by December 3, 2024, at 4:00 PM EST.
