Woodside Drainage Improvements Phase 2 Bid Plans
This document is bid plans for the City of Kissimmee Woodside Drainage Improvements, Phase 2 project, involving the City of Kissimmee and Toho Water Authority. The project encompasses two coordinated components: drainage infrastructure improvements and utility relocations. The drainage project involves construction of a 72-inch storm sewer extending from Heron Ditch east of Dyer Boulevard westward through Kissimmee Gateway Airport to the outfall at Shingle Creek, including jack and bore installation under Hoagland Boulevard. The scope includes regrading and armoring of existing ditches within the airport and along the Kissimmee Trail. Associated work includes pavement, drainage structures, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, guardrail, fencing, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, grading, and sodding. The utility relocation component involves repositioning a 16-inch reclaimed watermain, 16-inch watermain, and 20-inch sanitary force main in the Hoagland Boulevard area, as well as a 30-inch sanitary force main adjacent to the airport ditch and along Dyer Boulevard, plus a 12-inch watermain and 30-inch reclaimed watermain in the Dyer Boulevard area.
The drainage project is funded through a combination of Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program funds awarded by the Florida Department of Commerce sourced from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, and local City of Kissimmee funds. The utility relocation project is funded by Toho Water Authority through an inter-local agreement with the City of Kissimmee. The bid plans document provides the technical specifications and design requirements necessary for contractors to prepare competitive proposals for project execution.
