About this file
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division. It applies to contracts in California County of San Diego and was last revised on December 3, 2025 (Wage Determination No. 2015-5635, Revision No. 29).
The document establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees across numerous occupational classifications in the San Diego area. All listed occupations receive health and welfare benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week, $222.00 weekly, or $962.00 monthly), with an alternative rate of $5.09 per hour for employees on contracts covered by Executive Order 13706. Additionally, all employees receive a minimum of two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after 15 years of service, plus a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Wage rates range from $15.95 per hour for taxi drivers to $75.09 per hour for nuclear medicine technologists, with rates varying by occupational level and specialization across administrative, automotive, food service, health, information technology, technical, transportation, and skilled trades categories. Special provisions apply to computer professionals (footnote 1), air traffic controllers and weather observers with night and Sunday pay differentials (footnote 2), and positions involving hazardous materials with 4-8 percent pay differentials. Contractors must furnish uniforms without cost to employees or provide reimbursement at $3.35 per week, and must follow conformance procedures for unlisted job classifications by submitting requests to the Department of Labor within 30 days of employing such workers.
