About this file
This document is a VAR (Visitor Access Requirements) and base access instruction guide for the U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground (EPG) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, updated January 2026.
Visit requests to EPG must be submitted through DISS (the preferred method) or via non-DISS email to usarmy.huachuca.atec.list.epg-visitorcontrol@army.mil. For collateral visit notifications, personnel must include Collateral SMO W04YAA, the name and phone number of the EPG point of contact being visited, and the purpose of visit (name of test). For SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) visit notifications, the SCI SMO W04YAA3 must be used exclusively through DISS, along with the FHU/EPG POC name, phone number, and test name. Non-DISS requests must be submitted on company or organization letterhead and include: visitor name, last four Social Security Number digits, citizenship status, purpose of visit, EPG POC, length of visit with specific dates (maximum one year), and a signature block from the security manager, corporate business owner, or Facility Security Officer. Requests may be mailed to US Army Electronic Proving Ground, Attn: Security Office, 2000 Arizona Street, Building 56301, Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613-7063, or submitted via phone at (520)538-4020 or (520)538-2424 during operating hours 0630-1530, Monday through Friday.
General Fort Huachuca base access through Van Deman Gate & Visitor Control Center is open Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed weekends and holidays. Personnel with valid DoD credentials (CAC, military ID, family member ID, or Gold Star/Survivor Access ID) are permitted automatic access. All other U.S. visitors, contractors, and vendors age 18 and older must complete a background check and obtain an installation access badge by presenting a REAL ID Act-compliant driver's license or government-issued photo identification at the Visitor Control Center and completing an access request form. The form is available for download and completion prior to arrival but should not be sent to the EPG POC or visitor control office.
