About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding solicitation number W91CRB-16-R-0010 from the Department of the Army for Vital Torso Protection full rate production. The solicitation does not require bid samples to include fully compliant UID labels, as the government will not be evaluating these as part of the bid sample review. Bidder labels simply need to include basic identification information and reference the solicitation number on samples submitted with their response.

VTP FRP Questions and Answers #5
Q.141. Follow up on Q/A # 125 from W91CRB-16-R-0010. The question asked if cover color, marking and labeling was required for the BID SAMPLES. The answer to the question addressed that cover color and marking requirements are required to be met, however it did not address the UID LABEL.
I am currently assuming that a fully in spec UID label is not required. We intend to simply put a white background label with black print indicating the Solicitation number, our company name and other basic identification information for the bid samples referenced in table 15 of section L.
The UID label - PD Section 3.5.6.4 is not referenced as a requirement in Section L or M. Table 7 of section M references other requirements regarding labeling and performance markings under part 5, but again doesn't reference the actual UID label from 3.5.6.4.
A.141. The Government is not evaluating UID labels as part of bid sample evaluation.
