Q. I see we have 700 ppt in the lagoon and the intent is to treat to non-detect. What is that detection limit?
A. It would need to be zero detectable PFOA/PFOS.
Q. What method is used?
A. Method for filter? Whatever proposed filtration system that removes it will be considered.
Method for testing? EPA approved test for detection of PFOA/PFOA.
Q. Who will be responsible for running the official test to determine compliance with the specification?
A. It is part of the contract that the contractor will be responsible.
Q. The picture appears to be 2 lined and aerated ponds. Does the water flow in series?
A. They are interconnected but are isolated by valves.
They remain isolated unless self-leveling is required.
Both ponds can be filled independent of one another and discharged independently.
Q. Is there a pump on site or will that need to be included?
A. Everything needed to filter and discharge into manhole must be included.
