QUESTIONS FROM BUILDING 27 RENOVATION SITE VISIT

1. Regarding the raised flooring: the specifications and drawings do not specify or show the quantity of required accessories specific to 2.6 B Service Outlets, C Floor Panel Grates and D Plenum wall brush grommets. No quantities are shown or indicated.

On E-102, Electrical shows 2 floor boxes, if you go to the legend E-001, and see the symbol it states 4 recps, 2 data and 2 voice, in each box. (Accessories from the raised floor system).

1. What would the base like done with the removed doors and frames? Can they be reused on the project?

Doors can be re-used, frames can be re-used providing that they are not damaged during removal.

1. Johnson Controls are specced throughout the project, can an “equal to” system be utilized as long as the two systems can communicate?

Yes, the key is that they must communicate. We have had issues with “equal to” systems in the past.

1. Existing VCT to be removed? Does it contain asbestos?

Due to the past humidity in the building, existing VCT is to be removed. There is no asbestos in the tile.

1. In the ANG supplied cost estimate it calls for a generator pad. Where is the generator pad? And why do you need 30 yards of concrete for it? There is nothing in the drawings regarding it.

The Generator was removed from the contract as the existing generator will be used to the best of its ability. We are not sure of the document indicated but there should be no concrete in the document.
