About this file
This document is an amendment to a federal solicitation for a sand placement contract. The United States Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District is seeking bids for Sand Placement Contract #1 to perform clearing, grubbing, stump removal and placement of sand fill to elevation +3.0 feet in a marsh area along the West Shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The base contract work is for 3,075 linear feet with optional line items to add 1,540 linear feet and 1,335 linear feet, totaling 5,950 linear feet if both options are exercised. Access to the project site will be via West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Access Road J between the Bonnet Carre Spillway and Highway 51. Questions regarding the solicitation were due by February 23, 2022 at 11:00am. The amendment makes changes to specifications, clarifies instructions to bidders, and replaces one drawing. Approved disposal sites in the vicinity are also listed for removed materials.
