QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
W912L7-16-B-0001 Berry Field Fuel Farm As of 20 JUL 2016
1) Question: It appears that you want to install a standard Type III control system in an existing 8’x8’ control room. Here are some concerns.
a) It appears that the existing control room is not air conditioned. Normally using a PLC based control system, the space would be conditioned to keep moisture from damaging the processers.
b) The existing 8x8 room is not large enough to install a redundant PLC system, desktop computer and 48” graphics display panel as required by a “standard” Type III system.
c) Do you really need redundant processors as this facility appears to have truck unloading and truck loading only.
d) Can you clarify how many pumps that you are operating?
Answer: We are not installing in an existing building, part of the project is to install a NEW building that is detailed in the drawings.
The New building will be heated only and exhaust vented for fresh air, No computer system in this project. Need to make sure they are not referencing the as-builds from the old drawings that were included as for information only.
There are three pumps;
One pump is for off-loading the trucks.
Two pumps are for loading trucks and will alternate between each other between trucks.
