The following have been added by full text:

QUESTION 98-104

98. Question: The specification 08110-Hollow Metal Doors & Frames calls for the Exterior Doors and non-fire-rated interior doors to be factory finished (2.3 A. 6. & 2.3 B. 4.), and the door schedule calls for field painting of all the hollow metal doors. Please clarify if factory finishing is required.

98. Answer: All Hollow Metal Doors and Frames to be factory primed for field painting as per A8.1 and Specification 08110, paragraph 2.2 A.8. Specification 08110, paragraph 2.3 A.6 and 2.3 B.4 to be deleted.

99. Question: Door opening 112A is shown as a pair on the floor plan, and a single on the door schedule. Should this opening be listed as a pair on the door schedule?

99. Answer: Yes

100. Question: Opening 107B has a remark in the door schedule that this is an existing door, frame and hardware.

The schedule lists new hardware set 17. Is this hardware new or existing? Is the door and frame new or existing?

100. Answer: Door 107 B is a new door and frame in new opening with hardware set 17. See attached sketch for new door location.

101. Question: Will glass size limitations of fire rated glass require mullion dividers in window types C & E?

101. Answer: Yes

102. Question: Concerning the Tower installation on Drawing IT1.1, Will the EMT conduit identified in the notes (4 inch, 2 inch and ¾ inch power) supporting the tower project be installed by the electrician under the electrical conduit installation?

102. Answer: This should be coordinated with the GC, not determined by the A/E

103. Question: Drawing IT1.1 Will Plenum Cable be required for the CAT6, TV and Intercom installation?

103. Answer: No plenum cable is required in this project

104. Question: Clarification to previous question #54: Section 15900 Can you provide the name of the Company that installed and services the existing building management system that we will be extending and tying into?

104. Answer: The existing system in the facility is the T.A.C. / Invensys with Quad City Controls as the POC. However the Government has two building management systems on base that are currently being utilized, Johnson Controls & T.A.C. / Invensys. System selected must meet all requirements per the performance specification.

“Question #46 Revised Response”

46. Question: 10/A5.2. What does the 5/8" sheathing attached to? Are there existing metal studs? Z purlins?

46. Answer: New 3-1/2” structural studs to be attached to 3” girts. Install the metal studs 16” on center, studs shall be 20 gauge. Outside face of metal studs align with outside face of existing girts.

“Question #72 Revised Response”

72. Question: The lockers in the men’s and women’s Locker Rooms, I do not see a gauge for the lockers. Do you have a specific gauge you had in mind? Is there a door configuration for lockers? Also, is there a specific manufacture you would like to use?

72. Answer:

Mens and Women’s locker room Door configuration as shown on A7.1 and Spec section 2.2

Flight Line configuration as shown on A1.1 to be changed from 25 three tier lockers to 38 two tier lockers.

Location to be verified in the field by COTR.

Specification Section 10500,

2.1 Manufacturers; add “Available Manufactures: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering products which may be incorporated in the work include, but are not limited to, the following: Basis of Design; Republic Storage Systems, LLC Heavy Duty all solid locker

2.2 Locker Applications; change C 111 Flight Line to “two tier metal lockers, free standing with matching closed base.” And change c. Height to “lower locker 30 inches, upper locker 30 inches.”

Add the following:

“2.3 LOCKER ACCESSORIES:

A. Provide the following accessories, manufacturers standard units per individual locker.

1. Hooks: Double-prong wall hook.

2. Number Plates: Manufacturer's standard polished aluminum number plates 2 – 1/ 4 inch wide X 1 inch high, with black numbers not less than 3/ 8 inch high. Number lockers in sequence as directed by Contracting officer.

Attach plates to each locker door, near top, centered, with at least 2 fasteners of same finish as number plate.

3. Base: Provide Base Support Legs and cover plate at Base, continuous metal base used to raise lockers 6 inches above floor. Cut to required length.

B. Trim: Provide trim at jambs and head of recessed lockers, consisting of not less than 18-gage cold-rolled steel, 2" or 3" wide as necessary. Factory -finish trim to match lockers. Secure trim to lockers with concealed fastening clips.

C. Filler Panels: Provide filler panels where required or where shown, of not less than 18-gage steel sheet, factory-fabricated and finished to match locker units.

2.5 MATERIALS:

A. Sheet Steel: Mild cold-rolled and leveled steel, free from buckle, scale, and surface imperfections. 16 gauge top, bottom, side, front and center.

B. Fasteners: Cadmium, zinc, or nickel plated steel; exposed bolt heads, slotless type; self-locking nuts or locker washers for nuts on moving parts.

C. Equipment: Hooks of cadmium-plated or zinc-plated steel or cast”

ITEM DESCRIPTION

1.

Contractors are advised that this project will not include full lead abatement. The existing exterior wall panels and roof are scheduled to be removed and disposed of in accordance with all local, state, and national disposal regulations with no abatement required. Lead remediation shall be limited to that required to achieve the structural strengthening described within the contract documents. As such Section 09970 Paragraph 2.2 shall be removed and replaced with the following:

2.2 MATERIALS

A. Deleted in its entirety.

B. Hangar Doors - Exterior

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surface by removing all loose paint and create profile of 1.0 to 2.0 mils.

2. Prime Coat: Tnemec 66-Color HB Epoxoline at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT.

3. Intermediate Coat: Tnemec 73U-Orange Endura-Shield at 2.0 to

3.0 mil DFT.

4. Finish Coat: Tnemec 1079-Clear at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT making sure to cover entire 73U-orange area with no skips.

C. Concrete Towers - Exterior

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surface to remove all existing paint.

2. Spalls and bugholes: Tnemec 218 MortarClad to fill imperfections.

3. Prime Coat: Tnemec 66-Color HB Epoxoline at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT.

4. Intermediate Coat: Tnemec 73U-Orange Endura-Shield at 2.0 to

3.0 mil DFT.

5. Finish Coat: Tnemec 1079-Clear at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT making sure to cover entire 73U-orange area with no skips.

D. Structural Steel Over Hangar Doors - Exterior

1. Prepare surface to remove all existing paint and create a 1.0 to 2.0 mil profile in accordance with ASTM D 6386.

2. Prime Coat: Tnemec 66-Color Tnemec-Fascure at 4.0 to 6.0 mils

DFT.

3. Finish Coat: Tnemec 1070-White Fluoronar at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT.

F. White Frame Behind Orange Letters - Exterior

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surface to remove all existing paint and create a 1.0 to 2.0 mil profile in accordance with ASTM D 6386.

2. Prime Coat: Tnemec 66-Color HB Epoxoline 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT.

3. Finish Coat: Tnemec 1070-White Fluoronar at 2.0 to 3.0 mils DFT.

G. Structural Steel - Interior

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare bare and rusted areas in accordance with SSPC SP-3 Power Tool Clean. All existing tightly adhering coatings to be clean and dry.

2. Spot Prime: Bare areas apply Tnemec 115-Color Unibond DF at

2.0 to 4.0 mils DFT.

3. First Coat: Tnemec 115-Color Unibond DF at 2.0 to 4.0 mils DFT.

4. Second Coat: Tnemec 115-Color Unibond DF at 2.0 to 4.0 mils

DFT.
