1. Par 5.2.13, Calls for Ceiling Beam rated at 2000lbs, to support air hoist. Is the government supplying the Air Hoist?
Government will supply hoist.
2. PAR 5.2.5, Dust Collector, Your recent Q/A Responses stated that FPM should be 50FPM, Our experience and by Regulation 100FPM is required, Correction to pervious answered question – per regulation 100FPM is the requirement.
3. Q/A Drawings, not one drawing shows Orientation, North, East South or West.
See new uploaded drawing – Orientation.
4. Q/A letter statement about floor below grade Question #2: Your solicitation specifically states the floor to be above grade, PAR 5.2.7 Some floor trenching may be required for your system – the government understands and allows for trenching – coordination with building contractor required.
5. Are their existing concrete pads on exterior of building to install blast equipment and paint equipment as stated in the specification?
Government will provide concrete pad for the bead blast booth equipment along the west exterior wall.
6. Page 7, 5.1.1 calls for paint booth that is double wall insulated. Is a single wall paint booth acceptable?
Double wall insulated.
7. Page 7, 5.1.1 calls for paint booth that is white on inside. Is a galvanized paint booth (no powder coating) acceptable?
White inside.
9. Page 8, 5.1.10 calls for PLC that is Window based. We quoted Siemens PLC’s, which are NOT Window based and we are not aware of any Window based PLC. Please clarify.
Siemens PLC is acceptable.
10. Page 9, 5.1.11 asks for option for paint booth cooling and humidity control, which we included in our base quotation. How do you want this quoted?
Please quote according to the CLIN structure in the solicitation with the additions of temperature control and humidity control being listed as separately priced line item options.
11. Page 9, 5.2 calls for blast booth 11’h and 5.2.2 calls for doors also 11’h. Would 10’ high booth and doors be acceptable?
Correction: 15’wide X 10’high X 28’ Deep.
12. Page 10, 5.2.4 and 5.2.5 calls for 100 fpm / 15,000 CFM. 15,000 CFM is 100 fpm in a 15’w x 10’h booth, but you will need 16,500 CFM to achieve 100 fpm in a 15’w x 11’h booth. Let us know what is required here.
Correct velocity is 100 fpm.
13. Page 10, 5.2.9 talks about fire alarm in blast booth. Typically, only required in paint booth. Do you need fire alarm in blast booth? What about fire suppression system?
Quote for fire alarm in blast booth – no fire suppression in the blast booth.
14. Page 12, 5.3.8 – are we to provide a hoist?
Quote for overhead I-beam support structure in both booths only – do not quote for the hoist.
