Both facilities currently house integrated Crestron-style Audio-Visual (AV) systems which are a burden to maintain due to their complexity. A simplified approach is sought which reduces the number of components in the system where possible. The simplified AV systems which enable audio and visual display from a single source to a display media and to Microsoft (MS) Teams.

System must support integration of room audio, microphones, projector display, and Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) webcam. System must support a single HDMI source. A Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) laptop will be utilized to run MS Teams meetings or presentations. “MS Teams Rooms” are not supported, only desktop-based Teams instances. Provide touchscreen interface at front desk presentation station.
b. Projector system: The existing display methodology consists of a ceiling-mounted projector and drop-down screen, with a VGA connection to the equipment cabinet. Provide and install a replacement laser projector of at least 5000 lumens, such as Epson PowerLite L520U or similar.
c. Install HDBaseT connection from new projector to equipment cabinet. There are 2 CAT5e cables adjacent to the projector that run home to the equipment cabinet.
One of these cables supports a PTZ camera (to be replaced). The function of the other cable is unknown but is safe to reuse.
d. Laptop projection point: provide an HDMI or DisplayPort connection at the presentation station. Conduit with legacy wiring exists.
CLIN 1001 – OPTION:
a. Video-Teleconference (VTC) capability: Replace existing legacy VTC system with a USB solution that supports Microsoft Teams. “Microsoft Teams Rooms” are not supported – only USB connections to computer-based Teams meetings.
