About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document containing RFI responses for a uniform supply contract solicitation. The document addresses eleven inquiries from potential offerors regarding contract specifications, pricing requirements, and incumbent contractor information.

Regarding incumbent and historical contract information, the government directed all inquiries about prior contracts, award numbers, and previous pricing to SAM.gov's contract-data repository, declining to provide this information directly. On technical specifications, the government clarified several product requirements: Laboratory Sets now include lab coats (PWS 5.2.6, with specifications in Tech Exhibit 3); FR Coveralls are specified as 7-9 ounce and 4.4 ounce weights (PWS 5.2, Tech Exhibit 3); and Entryway Floor Mats specifications are detailed in PWS sections 5.5.1, 5.5.2, and 5.5.3 with pictures added to Tech Exhibit 5. Regarding pricing submission, the government clarified that offerors must provide a detailed price list showing the unit price for each garment type for each contract year, and the quote sheet must calculate yearly costs for each line item by multiplying the quoted unit prices by the quantities specified in PWS sections 5.2 and 1.4. This approach ensures pricing reflects both unit costs and estimated annual quantities for uniforms and related items.

2. We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.

Response: Please see response to question #1 above.

3. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

4. Who is the incumbent and what is the total 5-year contract price for previous contract?

5. Laboratory set is mentioned in section 1.4, but missing from section 5.2 Response: PWS 5.2.6 inserted (Lab Sets - Each uniform Set shall include: Lab coats) Tech exhibit 3 list Specifications of Lab coats.

6. Specs for FR Heavyweight Coverall & FR Lightweight Coverall is not identified.

7. Who is the current contractor and what is the current contract number?

8. On SF 1449, there's Entryway Floor Mats listed but I don't see any specs for the mats.

Please advise.

Response: Refer to PWS 5.5.1, 5.5.2, 5.5.3. Adding pictures for tech exhibit 5.

9. For pricing and market research purposes, I would like to respectfully inquire:

Was there an incumbent contractor performing this requirement previously?

If so, would you be able to provide the prior contract number and total award amount?

10. We are currently working on our response to this solicitation and would appreciate clarification regarding the requirements for the Laboratory team. While the team is mentioned in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), the specific set needed is not defined.

Response: Please see response to question #6 above.

11. Could you please provide further details on this requirement?

• I have just a quick question regarding the price sheet in the solicitation. I notice the solicitation only asks for a quote for the unit price; I am not seeing quantities for the uniforms to multiply that unit price by. However, on the PWS, I see quantities on the estimated uniforms. Are we supposed to use the numbers from the PWS and try to plug it into the quote sheet in the solicitation? Or you just need the unit price for the base year plus option years on the solicitation?

Response: The price list should contain the price of each garment for each year. The quote sheet in the solicitation should contain the yearly cost of each line item considering the prices quoted on the Price List and the quantities listed in sections 5.2 and 1.4 of the

PWS.
