This document is a Section 01 12 00 Construction General specification for the Powerhouse #1 Roof Repairs project at Fort Peck Dam in Montana. The specification outlines general construction requirements, including contractor responsibilities for project execution, site access, equipment usage, and work constraints. Key provisions include working hours (0630 to 1700 hrs Monday through Friday), observance of 12 federal holidays, requirement for portable toilets, and specific guidelines for equipment use such as a limited-use 3,000-pound air tugger located at elevation 2289.4 with a floor load rating of 180 lbs per sq. ft.

The document emphasizes contractor obligations such as protecting existing facilities, coordinating with other contractors, submitting proposed methods of operation within 15 days of notice to proceed, and providing a one-year warranty on all work performed. The project site is located at the Ft Peck Dam Powerhouse, with contractors required to coordinate exact work locations and staging areas with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and project office prior to initiating work. Specific restrictions include using a 12,000 lb freight elevator for access and verifying all loading cases before construction.
