b. Two duplex outlets in the electrical cab, external to the control panels.

c. Duplex outlets are to be located inside the control panels as recommended by the manufacturer.

d. Two duplex outlets in each trolley house, on opposite sides.

e. Two duplex outlets, located on both sides of the upstream side of the Sill, at deck-level, approximately 3 to 5 feet above the roadway.

2.16.6 Power Outlet

Two power outlets must be provided and connected to 480-volt welding outlet circuits in the 480 VAC panelboard, Meltric DSN30 Part# 63-34043, 3P+G, rated 30A, 480VAC with Meltric nylon 30 degree angle Part# 61-3A027, or approved equivalent. One power outlet is to be installed at deck-level, approximately 3 to 5 feet above the roadway. One outlet is to be installed on the trolley upstream walkway, centered on Hoist #2 (middle hoist).

2.17 CONDUIT AND WIREWAYS

2.17.1 Conduit

Minimum conduit size is to be 3/4 inch. All conduit must be Rigid steel conduit (RMC) and must conform to NEMA C80.1 and UL 6 and be hot-dip galvanized on inside and outside surfaces. Flexible conduit must conform to UL 1 and UL 360 and have a hot-dip galvanized steel core, copper ground wire, and a liquid tight waterproof extruded polyvinyl chloride cover.

Flexible conduit is only to be used on connections to vibrating or moving equipment such as motors, brakes, actuators, and limit switches; or when transitioning between two moving structural members. The maximum length of flexible conduit allowed for use is 36 inches. Flexible conduit may be 1/2 inch only when connected to equipment with factory threaded 1/2 inch entries.

2.17.2 Conduit Fittings

Fittings for rigid conduit must be threaded. Fittings for rigid and flexible conduit must conform to NEMA FB 1, UL 467, and UL 514B. Fittings must be galvanized cast or malleable iron or cast brass.

2.17.3 Outlet, Junction, and Pull Boxes and Cover Plates for Conduit

Junction boxes and cover plates for conduit must be galvanized cast or malleable iron, or cast brass, and conform to UL 514B. All cast boxes are to be supplied with integral-cast or factory-brazed hubs and be factory threaded. Sheet metal pull boxes and covers must conform to NEMA OS 1, UL 514A, UL 514B, and SECTION 26 05 00.00 26 BASIC ELECTRICAL MATERIALS AND METHODS paragraph CABINETS AND ENCLOSURES.

2.17.4 Wireways

If used, wireways must be Listed to UL 870. Wireways and all fittings and connectors must be made of sheet metal. Covers and bodies of wireways must have minimum thickness equal to 18 gauge steel. Seams are to be continuously welded and ground smooth, with no screws or bolts protruding into the inside of the wireway. All edges and corners are to be rounded and smooth.
