PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1 CRANE ELECTRIFICATION

2.1.1 General

Electrical power for the operation of the crane is supplied both by a diesel generator set and shore power. An additional shore power cord will be provided to power electrical accessory power and housekeeping loads.

Provide the diesel engine driven generator set in accordance with SECTION 26 32 15.00 26 DIESEL-GENERATOR SET to provide power to the crane while it is operated without shore power available. Provide new shore power feeder cables as the primary supply of incoming power to the crane's overhead conductors from the new circuit breaker at SQO. Provide Transfer switches to switch power between the generator set and shore power, and preclude those sources from being connected together. Provide accessory power transfer means between the accessory shore power cord and crane power (diesel generator and shore power). Provide all mounting bases, supports, stands, and all additional materials required for proper installation of equipment.

2.1.2 Diesel Generator Set

The generator set will be provided in accordance with SECTION 26 32 15.00 26

DIESEL-GENERATOR SET.

2.1.3 Shore Power

The primary source of power supplied to the crane is comprised of a feeder breaker from SQO located at EL 90, 250 kcmil cable and 3 inch conduit SQO108-q16-K2, which attaches to the overhead conductors at Bay 10 located on the intake deck. The Power Circuit Breaker at SQO is type ABB K-Line Air Circuit Breaker and is to be replaced with a new circuit breaker. Replace cable SQO108-q16-K2 with new cable meeting the requirements of INSULATED WIRE AND CABLE of this SECTION. The new cable must be two sets of compact stranded 250 kcmil AWG per phase minimum and a 2/0 AWG insulated copper ground, to maintain a total voltage drop at the four wire overhead conductor system taps of no more than 4 percent of the nominal system voltage per the requirements of CMAA 70. The existing conduit SQO108-q16-K2 must be reused.

2.1.4 Feeder Breaker

Provide new SQO feeder circuit breaker to replace the existing SQO Intake Cranes Trolley Feeder circuit breaker. The replacement circuit breaker
