ADDENDUM NO. 2
Renovation and Restoration of Building 13467
Drawings and Specifications 18 April 2016
The following clarifications, amendments, additions, deletions, revisions, and/or modifications are hereby made part of the Contract Documents, and change the original Contract Documents only in the manner and to the extent herein.
Please make the following changes/clarifications to the drawings and specifications.
DRAWINGS
CIVIL
CS100 – Reference Outdoor Storm Pump note. Add text to note as follows clarifying the pump requirements: “Outdoor storm pump shall be Zoeller 50 Series Model or approved equal.
ARCHITECTURE
“AD” Sheets: All doors shown graphically as dashed as noted on plans are “EXISTING TO BE
DEMOLISHED”. Doors and walls shown as dashed are to be demolished whether specifically noted or not with call outs “001” and “010”. This includes, but is not limited to, doors to new rooms 1C04, 1C08, 2A11, 2A12, 2B08, 2B21, 2C06, 3C00, 3C23, and 3D13.
Regarding Key Note #131, on A-110, A-120, A-130 series of drawings and Details #5 and 6, A-481:
“Cementitious Underlayment” shall be as follows:
Self-leveling gypsum cement product that can be applied in a minimum uniform thickness of 1/8” and that can be feathered at edges. Gypsum cement shall comply with ASTM C 219 and shall have a compressive strength of not less than 4000 psi at 28 days when tested according to ASTM C 109.
Provide primer and aggregate as recommended by the manufacturer.
Revise Key Note #131, on A-110, A-120, A-130 series of drawings and Details #5 and 6, A-481 to add the following text: “Full depth batt insulation shall be provided between the metal stud joists when the finish floor applied over the cement board is either vinyl composition tile or porcelain tile. Metal stud joists shall be 16” on center maximum.”
Details #1, #2, and #3, A-406: Railings depicted shall be as follows in lieu of that shown on the drawing:
36” high 1-1/2” diameter painted steel railing consisting of a horizontal top rail, middle rail, and bottom rail with vertical posts 36” on center maximum.
Detail #8, A-406: Railing shall be 1-1/2” in diameter and spaced a minimum of 2-1/2” clear from the adjacent wall.
Detail #2, A-320: 8” CMU used for Ground Floor window infill shall be 100% solid CMU. Exterior of CMU shall be painted with “Tuff-Kote” by TKO Industrial Coatings or approved equal. Color and texture shall match the existing finish on the exterior concrete wall surrounding the CMU infill.
Refer to Plans #1, #2, and #3, A-422: Provide (4) soap dishes and (4) robe hooks in each of the following showers: Mens Shower 2A18, Womens Shower 2B13, and Mens Shower 2C05. Soap dish shall be surface mounted, stainless steel with a #4 finish (satin); robe hook shall be double-prong, stainless steel with a #4 finish (satin). Verify exact mounting location with the government.
A-104: Provide (6) soap dishes and (6) robe hooks in each of the following showers: Shell Shower GD31 and Shell Shower GD33. Soap dish shall be surface mounted, stainless steel with a #4 finish (satin); robe hook shall be double-prong, stainless steel with a #4 finish (satin). At least one soap dish and one robe hook in each of the rooms shall be ADA/ABA compliant. Verify final mounting locations with the government.
Wall Section #1, A-310: The note “Concrete Fill” shall be replaced with the note “Floor Infill with 3/4” Cement Board over 3-5/8” C-Joist Metal Framing (16” on center maximum) with Cementitious Underlayment Leveler over Existing Slab.” Provide 1/2" cork expansion joint filler strip where the floor infill abuts the aluminum storefront or curtainwall. The expansion joint shall extend the full height of the aluminum sill.
The 3-5/8” metal framing runner facing the aluminum storefront or curtainwall shall be solid without perforations and shall be painted to match the color of the aluminum storefront/curtainwall.
At the following doors: GC000, GD000, 1D000, 1A002, 1A09, 1A210, 1A220, 1B002, 1D000, 2A001, 2D000, 3A000, 3A001, 3B000, 3C000, 3D000, 3D001, 3D071, 3D25, 3D26, where new doors and frames are set into new openings in existing masonry walls, the gypsum wall board at new metal stud walls shall be returned to the hollow metal door frame at the door head and jambs fully concealing the existing masonry wall that was cut.
Refer to sheets A-104 and A-124: In Conference Rooms GD13, GD14, and 2D14 provide the following items in each of the conference rooms:
Projection Screen: Da-Lite (or approved equal) Tensioned Advantage Electrol 16:9 HDTV format 54”high x 96” wide
Projector: NEC (or approved equal)

Provide all electrical connections for each item. Verify final mounting locations of each item with the government.
Sheet A-603: Revise hardware set for doors GA23 and GB16 to be Hardware set HW-40.
Sheet A-604: Revise hardware set for doors 1A22, 1A220, 1C07, and 1D09 to be Hardware set HW-40.
MECHANICAL
M110A: Revised Sheet Keynote 1 “All door undercuts shall be ½” except doors with STC rating. “ M110B: Revised Sheet Keynote 1 “All door undercuts shall be ½” except doors with STC rating.”
M110D: Revised Sheet Keynote 1 “All door undercuts shall be ½” except doors with STC rating.”
ELECTRICAL
E120A: Remove Sheet Keynotes 2 and 3.
E120B: Remove Sheet Keynotes 4 and 5.
E120C: Added conduit for storm pump.
E120D: Added conduit for storm pump.
E120D: Add ceiling mounted receptacles in rooms GD13 and GD14 and connected to circuit to LGCSB-16.
E121A: Remove Sheet Keynotes 3 and 4.
E121C: Remove Sheet Keynotes 7 and 8.
E122D: Added wall receptacle for TV in room 2D14 and connected to circuit L2CSB-28.
E306: Added circuit breaker number 18 in panel “LGCR” for storm pump.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
T-101, T-102, T-111, T-113, T-114: Add notation for “CR” (Card Reader) at all doors to rooms GA23, GB16, 1A22, 1C07, and 1D09 (Doors GA23, GB16, 1A22, 1A220, 1C07, and 1D09)
SPECIFICATIONS:
Add Section 03 35 43 titled POLISHED CONCRETE FINISHING Section 08 71 00 - DOOR HARDWARE, Paragraph 3.5 HARDWARE SETS: Add the following hardware set:
