The solicitation is seeking a contractor to establish a validated materials testing laboratory at a dam construction site to perform inspections, material sampling, and testing for a soil-cement-bentonite barrier wall project. It will clarify that the contractor is responsible for developing the site area needed for the laboratory facilities and parking, and for providing fencing around the laboratory area. The contract is anticipated to award between September 24th and October 15th, though the award date is subject to change. 1. Under the Statement of Work, Section 2.0.B.2, states “The A-E must provide any pads necessary to establish the temporary facilities to include parking…” Please clarify if the A-E is responsible for developing the entire 150’ x 300’ area shown on GFI-1, or just the area needed for A-E’s quality assurance laboratory facilities and parking.

The forthcoming amendment will clarify the development of the site to include the pad and fencing.

2. Please clarify if A-E is required to provide a fence and gate around the entire 150’ x 300’ perimeter as shown on GFI-1, or just around A-E’s quality assurance laboratory and facilities.

The forthcoming amendment will clarify the development of the site to include the pad and fencing.

3. Does the government have an anticipated approximate date of contract award?
