Amendment 0002 to Solicitation W81K0426QA044
This is Amendment 0002 to a solicitation for linen and laundry services issued by the U.S. Army Health Readiness Contracting Office (W400 USA HCA) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The amendment modifies solicitation W81K0426QA044 and extends the response due date from 18 May 2026 at 04:00 PM to 03 June 2026 at 02:00 PM.
The contract involves providing healthcare textile laundry services for the Ireland Army Health Clinic (IAHC) located at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The contractor must supply laundry processing for government-owned textiles (sheets, pillowcases, surgical wrappers, curtains, tablecloths) and contractor-furnished surgical textiles and linens. The base year period runs from 5 June 2026 through 4 June 2027, with four optional one-year extension periods extending through June 2031. This amendment restructures the contract line items to introduce a new CLIN 0003 for Government-Owned Hot Pads (113 pounds, firm fixed price) and associated option CLINs (1003, 2003, 3003, 4003) for each contract year, while deleting previous miscellaneous text from CLINs 0002, 1002, 2002, 3002, and 4002. Inspection and acceptance occur at Fort Knox (DoDAAC HT0827), and all deliveries and pick-ups are scheduled once weekly on either Tuesday or Thursday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The contract requires compliance with OSHA standards, Joint Commission healthcare linen standards, quality control protocols including textile strength monitoring, and infection control procedures. Key performance requirements include a five working-day turnaround for cleaning and returning textiles, proper segregation of soiled and clean materials, and maintenance of detailed quality control documentation and personnel rosters.
