About this file

This document is Exhibit D of a federal contract solicitation specifying linen bundle size requirements for a laundry service contract.

The exhibit establishes bundling standards for 32 line items of medical and institutional linens, including scrubs (jackets, pants, and shirts in sizes S through XXXL), gowns (pediatric in S/M/L and regular sizes including 3XL), sheets (flat and knit fitted/contour), towels (bath, hand, and operating room green), pillowcases, washcloths, blankets, and reusable laundry bags. Items must be color-coded and sized with color codes easily visible without opening bundles. All items carrying size designations must be bundled by size, and items in varied colors and sizes must be separated accordingly (for example, small cranberry scrub pants bundled separately from small purple scrub pants). Bundle quantities are specified as either 10 items per bundle for most apparel and sheet items or 15 items per bundle for towels, washcloths, and pillowcases. These standardized bundling requirements ensure organized, efficient sorting and distribution of linens to hospital staff by size and color designation.
