SUMMARY OF CHANGES
(End of Summary of Changes)
The following items are applicable to this modification:
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
QUESTION 1. The car park supposed to be constructed out of the perimeter wall : Do we need to construct fence? What would be the paving material? (concrete, asphalt, gravel?)
RESPONSE: Fence is not required.
See section 01 10 15, paragraph 2.4.4, “parking area exterior to Gate 3 using aggregate surface.
Aggregate pavement surface should consist of 100mm (4 inches) thick Aggregate Base Course (ABC) material compacted to 95% maximum proctor density if CBR value does not exceed 8. Use 150mm scarified subgrade compacted to 95% maximum density. Provide 1.0 meter wide shoulder around all parking areas and motor pools, consisting of a surface of an ABC material and it should be 150mm thick @ 2.0% slope.”
Question 2. Entry Control Point (EPC): Which plan do the government intend to apply? (there are two in the drawings as secondary and primary ‐ ). What is the civil works for existing perimeter walls 1004 and 1002 at the points where EPC construction and these walls intercept? Do we need to replace Gate 3 ? Will you provide a floor plan for guard shack?
RESPONSE: Provide PRIMARY ECP for this contract.
The existing fence line should be incorporated with the design of the new ECP.
We are not replacing Gate 3.
See attached floor plan for the guard shack (FP05).
Question 3. Do the demolition works include the structures just around Building 105 ? (wooden canopy, jersey barriers, 4 ea connex)
RESPONSE: This question was previously answered in Amendment 0002 Under Site Demolition Question No. 1.
Question 4. Demolition/site clearing works: Where do we place the connex, bunkers, hescos after removal? Do we need to reinstall them? Whose repsonsibility is the securing of materials inside the connexes and rub halls during replacement?
RESPONSE: This question was previously answered in Amendment 0002 Under Site Demolition Question No. 1.
Question 5. Review stand dimensions in drawings (7x14 m)and in narrative (scope of work) (2,5x5 m) do not confirm each other. Please advise..
RESPONSE: The awning should be 7mx14m, not 2.5mx5m, to cover the review stand.
W5J9JE-15-R-0018
Question 6. What is the civil works scope for building 105? We understand that there is no change in the partitioning and only mechanical/plumbing/electrical renovation is considered?
RESPONSE: No site (civil) work is required for building 105.
Question 7. The site assessment report does not contain info on the south‐east of the compound (except generator sheds and fuel point). What is the current situation for helipad (concrete, asphalt) and other structures to be demolished/removed?
RESPONSE: There is no concrete or asphalt at the helipad. It is just gravel (see attached photo).
See attached responses on the demolition/removal.
Question 8. Do we need to design the site drainage by open chutes around the buildings like the building 105 or a steel grating covered narrow chutes/ manholes / piping system is acceptable?
RESPONSE: We do not want open chutes around the buildings. Steel grating covered narrow chutes/manholes/piping system are acceptable.
Question 9. Do we need to design the buildings’s foundations at he same level with the building 105, which is far below the natural ground level?
RESPONSE: Building 105 is not to be used as a benchmark elevation for this project. See Section 01 10 15, paragraph 2.4.3, “Building floor elevations shall be a minimum 150mm above grade” based on a rainfall for a 10-year frequency event.
Question 10. The Appendix A‐1, “section 01 10 10”, paragraph “2.4.2.2 SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM” shows that “contractor will locate individual collection tanks to facilitate the collection and transport of effluent from the individual buildings on the entire training center to the new disposal field”. please clarify that the tanks should be installed for new buildings or for all existing and new buildings located in
RTC.
RESPONSE: New tanks shall be installed as required for new buildings in this contract. If additional tanks are required for the overall base collection system, then the contractor will provide them as part of this contract.
Question 11. Also in HVAC section for whole building it asked for Chigo heating and Fan, if we install this split unit of Chigo it can do heating and cooling, so why you asked for Fan as well?
RESPONSE: See section 01 10 15, paragraph 5.5.1. Delete ceiling fans requirement from the remarks column.
