Title: Soldier Performance and Workload Report Use/relationship: The Soldier Performance and Workload report shall validate that the RCIS Type I design allows the operator and crew to complete its mission without excessive workload. This Attachment contains the format and content preparation instructions for the HFEA resulting from applicable tasks delineated in the contract.
Requirements:
1. Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions shall be as cited in the current issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DOD ISS) at the time of the solicitation.
2. Format. The Soldier Performance and Workload report format may be Contractor selected but shall contain all of the Elements discussed below. Unless effective presentation would be degraded, the initially used format shall be used for all subsequent submissions. All updates shall be conspicuously indicated in a manner consistent with standard editorial practices.
3. Content. The Contractor shall generate a report and updates that identifies capabilities and limitations of the system which shall include at a minimum the following information:
a. Content. The report shall contain the following information:
(1) Table of contents, list of illustrations, acronyms/abbreviations.
(2) Overview of the RCIS operator and crew performance and workload analysis, scope, objectives, analysis and findings.
b. Report Body. System level design analysis that provides verification that operator and crew performance and work-load (both physical and mental) requirements are within the capabilities and allocated crew size using the OMS/MP and allocated system level requirements. This analysis should include the following as a minimum
- Task analysis using select critical individual and crew operational tasks steps and estimated task completion rates, and times using the OMS/MP.
- PMCS task steps and estimated time to task completion.
- System calibration and estimated time to task completion. If none so state.
- Documentation of the differences, if any, between the analysis and the performance specifications for the system design.
DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release. Distribution is unlimited
- Soldier user jury reports as the system matures, using workload surveys, soldier feedback and AAR showing acceptable cognitive workload levels.
c. Summary and Conclusions. Overall and subsystem functionality risks with a detailed risk mitigation plan to include all necessary cost, schedule, and technical data provided to the Government if the HFEA shows that the design does not meet the RCIS Type I Performance Specification.
