About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity addressing clarifications on a 14-workstation office furniture installation project at 2400 Wright Street, Room 202.

The project requires the contractor to develop a final layout plan for 14 workstations configured in three groups (4, 8, and 2 stations) flowing left to right with walk-through separations between groups and around the perimeter. The requirement includes two to three U-shaped customer service counters and incorporates reused UNICOR components from an existing installation; the contractor is not responsible for warranty coverage on reused parts that fail due to age, normal wear, or preexisting conditions. New components may ship directly to the facility with pre-arranged deliveries available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM local time, with a REAL ID required for entry. The Government does not have CAD files available but has provided floor and electrical plans, reference pictures, and a dimensioned example of similar workstations (18"W x 90"L x 40.5"H) during a site visit. Chairs are not part of this requirement. Two existing workstations with cabinets shown during the site visit are to remain in place and not be incorporated into the current work. Questions were received between July 17 and July 28, 2026, with answers provided through July 29, 2026.

Questions and Answers

Question # Question Answer Date Received 1 Does the Government have a proposed layout for the new 14-workstation configuration, or is the contractor responsible for developing the final plan base on your requirements?

The contractor will develop the final plan. The new layout will be in the same location at room 202. The Government's initial layout plan is that the furniture be situated across the room, with the 1 group of 4, 1 group of 8, and 1 group of 2 flowing left to right. There will be a walk-through separation between each group, as well as on the outer perimeter of the entire group of 14 workstations.

2 Please provide, if available, the original installer’s name, contract or purchase order number, bill of materials, UNICOR part numbers, finish specifications, and warranty records.

There was no contract or purchase order associated with this installation.

Items were procured directly from UNICOR. The only records available are the floor and electric plans which have been posted to the solicitation.

3 The solicitation requires warranty coverage for the fully assembled system, including reused components. Please clarify the required warranty period and whether the contractor is responsible for failures of reused components that are determined to be serviceable at installation but later fail due to age, normal wear, or preexisting conditions.

Paragraph 4 of the Purchase Description has been revised to not require a warranty on the reused parts. Unless the quote states otherwise, the contractor is not responsible for failures of reused components that are serviceable at installation but later fail due to age, normal wear, or preexisting conditions.
