Connection to new head end)

Proposed End State: New HVAC Head End w/ buildings connected for central monitoring

Monitor and Control – Priority building where monitor and control is important HVAC troubleshooting. These buildings to be prioritized for monitor and control of the full facility with a new head end is achieved at the end of the project. (Rip and replace if needed to get full monitor and control)

Monitor Only – Building that is currently not connected to the head end. Project shall achieve as much integration as possible (as much monitor and control as possible.) Based on type / complexity of the HVAC system, rip and replace is likely not justified. Can live with monitor only functionality for this facility at the end of the project and adding space temperature sensors is acceptable if integration with the existing controllers is not possible.

Monitor and Control – building with newer HVAC controls, monitor and control should be possible with new head end, required project to achieve monitor and control in this facility

B118 had recent HVAC upgrade and had newer Alerton controls. The current DDC panels should be able to integrate with the new head end for monitor and control.

Descriptions:

Notes: 50s series facilities outside of scope, B855 and partial B101 have been removed from scope, ASOG Complex will follow new control system.

Legacy EMCS Head End remains intact for system not within scope.

Monitor Only – small buildings with no central connectivity currently. Appear to be lower priority for HVAC controls. If lower priority, consider including the connection to the new head end as a project option.

Remove from Scope of the Project – Priority building where monitor and control is important HVAC troubleshooting. Building that is currently connected to the head end and will remain on legacy system. HVAC system is at end of life and will be programmed to be replaced in near future; at that time, the monitor control will be phased in.

B51 Delta – Potential future connection to new head end

B53 Delta – Potential future connection to new head end

B54 Delta – Potential future connection to new head end

Monitor and Control – Priority building where monitor and control is important HVAC troubleshooting. A partial of the building should be prioritized for monitor and control of newer HVAC systems with a new head end is achieved at the end of the project. (Rip and replace if needed to get full monitor and control) .
