Site Visit VENDOR QUESTIONS:

Flooring to be replaced?

No, clean floor only

Extend time for OPT 1 election?

The contract provides a total of 45 days.

We expect containment set up/demo to take approx. 25 days (5 weeks). The remaining 20 days provide 10 days (2 weeks) reserved as potential downtime for re-testing process. This leaves only 10 days (2 wk).

We agree that 10 business days will not permit execution of OPT 1 scope. Therefore, should we elect to execute OPT 1 scope, We will provide an additional 15 days. Permitting an additional 25 days (5 weeks) to perform OPT 1 scope if contract is awarded with the option.

If contractors have different total amount of days, ensure to identify the total days for each CLIN within quote.

Do we have HVAC drawings?

No.

How are ducts connected?

Vendors were permitted to see abv ceiling. SEE ATTACHMENT for mold report that addresses assemblies above the clg.

Can we share mold rep with Bidders?

See attachment – we are showing the partial report outlining materials tested and the results that confirm non toxic/non airborne mold and zero asbestos.

Will Gov provide dumpsters?

No. Vendor to provide Dumpster(s), Gov will provide permit for staging space on site. See attached map.

Where is dumpster/staging located?

We are attempting to obtain approval for staging space as discussed on site. See attached map.

Status of items in closet (note that floor is carpet)?

Interior of Closet is not in scope. Door to Closet to remain closed and locked for duration of project. Note that Closet door and door frame are included in Base Bid and OPT 1 SOW.

Is Contractor responsible for testing?

No. We are permitting 10 days (2 weeks) of down time to allow the Gov to conduct close out testing/reporting. Our last sampling/testing and reporting process took less than 7 days.

Mechanical Closet is locked, provide pics of mech closet.

Images will be posted with the solicitation.

Drywall extends past drop clg frame, frame is attached to drywall, how to address attachment of clg frame if drywall should be demolished, removing surface that clg grid is attached to.

We will not direct methods to secure existing drop ceiling frame. We will demo only ceiling tiles and retain existing ceiling frame per SOW.

We will permit careful partial removal of ceiling frame to reduce conflicts as needed.

Containment is expected to reach bot/deck, How to maintain continuous containment space if we leave existing clg grid in place?

See response above - We can permit piecemeal assembly of containment barrier as long as barrier is securely taped at all seams and achieves specifications shown in SOW.

Is post-testing to just the room itself or above the ceiling grid as well?

Testing will be conducted by the same Hygienist who drafted our cleaning protocol. See report for tested areas as a reference and (**attachment prev submitted as a PDF to CONS) please adhere to the guidance in the SOW for scope.

Will a dumpster be provided or need to factor into pricing?

Contractor is responsible for getting a dumpster. Government will coordinate base permit to allow for placement of dumpster during performance of contract.

Can you please provide pictures of mechanical room and unit under the scope?

Image of mechanical room will be attached with Amendment 0001

Is the cleaning of the HVAC blower motor surface cleaning or unit disassembled to clean?

SOW incorporates instructions directly from the Cleaning Protocol provided by Certified Hygienist. For HVAC, please adhere to notes in the SOW and do not conduct work beyond what is referred to.

Will the tile floor remain or a part of the demo as well?

The flooring remains as-is and Cleaning Protocol from the Certified Hygienist is provided in the SOW.

What framing material is behind the drywall (metal or wood)?

It appears that Metal Studs are in place. We do not have an As Built Document for this building so we are unable to confirm size, material or spacing of existing stud frame.

Will only the 3 desks be in the room at start of work or are contents left remaining in break room at start of work to be disposed of as well?

All contents currently present in the room will be present at the start of work. All items, even TV’s, artwork, clocks, etc. are slated for disposal with the exception of (3) desks. The (3) desks are to be cleaned per the Cert. Hygienist’s recommendations. We will remind the selected vendor of this fact prior to CKO.
