About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details an emergency culvert repair project for the 118th Air National Guard at Berry Field in Nashville, Tennessee. The project involves replacing two damaged 12-inch ductile iron culverts leading to buildings 808 and 809, which have sustained significant structural damage from storm events and age-related deterioration. The primary objectives include restoring full storm water flow capacity, ensuring roadway structural integrity, preventing future erosion, and complying with local drainage and environmental regulations.
The 30-day project scope requires the contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision for comprehensive culvert replacement. Key tasks include site preparation, demolition and removal of damaged pipe sections, installation of new reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culvert sections with concrete headwalls, backfilling with flowable fill and crushed stone, and implementing erosion control measures. The contractor must adhere to UFC 1-200-01 and Tennessee Department of Transportation specifications, submit various pre-construction, during-construction, and post-construction deliverables, and undergo government inspections, including a final video inspection of the completed culvert.
