About this file

These documents are a series of Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) related to the M739A1 Point Detonating/Delay (PD/DLY) Fuze procurement under solicitation W15QKN25R0002. The fuze is used by the US Army, USMC, and SOCOM for training and tactical operations, designed for 105mm and 155mm bursting artillery projectiles. Key DIDs include requirements for Quality Program Plans, Acceptance Test Reports, Configuration Management Plans, Critical Characteristics Control Plans, and Performance Oriented Packaging testing documentation.

The M739A1 PD/DLY Fuze features a one-piece solid aluminum body with a standard 2-inch threaded base, incorporating five modular subassemblies. Its Impact Delay Module provides fuze initiation delay of 3-6 milliseconds after passing through a target, with no explosive components within the module. The fuze is anodized green for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) identification purposes. The associated DIDs outline comprehensive technical, quality, testing, and packaging requirements for the fuze's procurement, emphasizing detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, quality control, testing procedures, and packaging specifications.
