About this file
This document is a site walk information notice for a U.S. Coast Guard carpet installation project at Base Ketchikan, Alaska. The solicitation (UNITEDSTATESCOASTGUARDKETCHNEWCARPET) seeks contractor services for the removal and disposal of existing carpet and installation of new carpet on the entire third floor/deck including all hallways of the Base Ketchikan facility. The contract is a fixed-price, single line item (CLIN 0001) for one project, and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable, qualified contractor. The anticipated award date and start of services is November 2026, contingent upon Coast Guard funding availability. The period of performance is 90 calendar days from the date of signed government contract award. Contractors' quotes/proposals must remain valid for 120 calendar days from the solicitation closing date listed in SAM.
A pre-award site walk has been scheduled for October 28, 2026, from 0900-1130 am for any contractor wishing to attend. Contractors must provide security information in advance, no later than October 21, 2026, including full name, date of birth, and driver's license or passport number for each individual attending. An updated map showing exact square footage of carpet to be removed and replaced was added by the Coast Guard on October 8, 2026. Contractors are encouraged to assess work requirements and recommend revisions that could provide beneficial savings. The contractor must provide personnel, management, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to complete the work, and must include regular and overtime rates for any proposed labor categories.
