About this file
This document is an addendum to an Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) manual for the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT5). It provides updates and clarifications on coding for certain categories, text types, and task types for the DLPT5 test items.
The related federal contract opportunity is for the creation of DLPT5 test items across approximately 350 foreign languages and dialects. The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) has an annual demand for 5,000 to 7,500 DLPT5 test items that cover multiple ILR proficiency levels. The test items will be in a multiple-choice or constructed response format, with English renderings provided. This contract supports the Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis.
