About this file

The provided file is a historical quantity tracking spreadsheet for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) zones and Electronic Entry Control (EECS) portals at Fort Cavazos, Texas, associated with a solicitation for Electronic Security Systems (ESS) maintenance. The IDS zone quantities have fluctuated between 686-716 zones from fiscal years 2019-2025, with projected zone quantities of 734-743 at the completion of an ICIDS upgrade. The document notes that zone numbers change annually due to facility demolitions and new construction, with an estimated increase of approximately 4 zones per year.

The EECS portal history shows a significant reduction from 101 portals in 2014 to 48 portals by March 20, 2025, attributed to the removal of large facility support. The related federal contract opportunity (Solicitation W91151-25-Q-A018) requires a contractor to provide comprehensive Electronic Security System maintenance and repair services at Fort Cavazos, including installation, configuration, and system administration. The contractor must be a current DAQ ICIDS Certified Value Added Reseller (VAR) and work with the DAQ Electronics StarWatch Security Management Software platform, which interfaces with Intrusion Detection and Entry Control Equipment for controlled facility access.

Historically each year facilities are demolished, and new ones built which continuously changes the overall zone quantities. Post upgrade we anticipate additions and removals with an estimated increase of approximately 4 zones per year. Changes are dictated by funding for renovations, new construction, and demolitions each fiscal year. **The final number is currently a moving target due to undeterminned funding for bunker repairs and tactical SCIF vehicle configuration.
