About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for the demolition and construction of a Remote Communications Air/Ground (RCAG) site located in Fredericksburg, Texas (T82). The contractor will be responsible for demolishing all old towers, including foundations and old guided cable anchors, and installing a new 30' antenna tower and associated cabling, lightning protection, and foundations. The work must comply with various FAA specifications and be completed within 6 months, with work hours limited to Monday through Friday, 7am to 5:30pm. The FAA requires a safety and security plan from the contractor prior to the start of work. The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation announcement seeking interested and capable vendors for this project at the T82 site, as well as a separate site in Plainview, TX (PVW). The FAA intends to award one or two firm-fixed price contracts using a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) evaluation process. The FAA is considering set-asides for small business, 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned small business, and woman-owned small business concerns, as well as local vendors, based on the responses received.
