About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for the demolition and construction of towers at the Plainview, Texas (PVW) Remote Communications Air/Ground (RCAG) site. The contractor must demolish all old towers, including foundations and old guided cable anchors, and install a new 40-foot antenna tower with respective foundations and cabling. The contractor must also install a lightning protection system for the towers and building as per FAA specifications. The work must be completed within 6 months and is subject to FAA approval, scheduling, and inspection.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation announcement seeking sources for tower demolition and construction at the PVW site, as well as the Fredericksburg, Texas (T82) site. The FAA intends to award one or two firm-fixed-price contracts based on a lowest price technically acceptable evaluation process. The FAA is considering set-asides for small businesses, including 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned, and woman-owned small businesses, as well as local area vendors. Interested vendors are requested to provide a statement of interest, project-specific information, and a rough order of magnitude cost estimate by October 11, 2024.
