About this file

This document is a Federal-Aid Project Agreement between the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration and the Arizona Department of Transportation for a transportation infrastructure project in Tucson. The project involves improving 4 signalized intersections, specifically implementing positive offsets and flashing yellow arrows, with a project end date of 06/30/2026. The preliminary engineering phase was authorized on 02/12/2024, and the project is classified under the Highway Planning & Research program.

The total estimated project cost is $939,780.00, with the federal government providing 98.10% funding, which amounts to $933,931.00. The project is funded through CFDA Number 20.205 and requires strict adherence to NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) approval processes. No preliminary design activities can be undertaken that might have an adverse environmental impact or limit reasonable alternatives. The federal funds are specifically restricted to project costs incurred after the Federal Highway Administration's authorization to proceed, and the project must refrain from proceeding to Final Design without a completed NEPA document.
