About this file
This is a Statement of Work template for construction projects at Joint Base Charleston. The document provides a standardized framework for defining work scope, project locations, occupancy conditions, existing work requirements, and government-furnished materials for construction contracts supporting the Air Force. The work covers new construction, alterations, repairs, and demolition of buildings, structures, roads, grounds, and utilities across multiple JBC locations including the Air Base, Weapons Station, North Auxiliary Air Field, and Short Stay Recreational Area.
Key requirements outlined in the template include: contractors must coordinate with the Contracting Officer regarding work sequences, material storage, and access to facilities; contractors are responsible for protecting existing structures and utilities, with repairs required to match pre-construction conditions; government-furnished materials and equipment will be clearly identified and must be picked up within 30 days of the required date; contractors must develop salvage plans for designated materials and maintain property control records for salvaged items stored at government-designated locations; and buildings may or may not be occupied during performance. The template uses bracketed placeholders for project-specific details such as project summaries, delivery locations, notification timelines, and occupancy status, indicating this document serves as a reusable format for multiple construction task orders under the broader Multiple Award Construction Contract vehicle.
