About this file

This document contains standard specifications and details issued by the Pima Association of Governments (PAG) for public improvements projects in Arizona. The specifications referenced are the 2015 PAG Standard Specifications and Details for Public Improvements, along with updates issued in 2019-1, 2019-2, and 2020-1. These specifications are incorporated by reference into contract documents and serve as binding requirements for public improvement projects unless modified by special provisions. The specifications apply to the Blacklidge Drive Bicycle Boulevard project in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, which encompasses approximately 4.5 miles of roadway improvements between Oracle Road and Columbus Boulevard. The project will implement bicycle boulevard design features including signalized pedestrian hybrid beacons (HAWK signals) to prioritize bicycle and pedestrian safety while maintaining traffic flow through a yellow-red-flashing red sequence alert system.

The document establishes that in cases of conflict between the special provisions contained in individual project contracts and the referenced PAG Standard Specifications and Details, the special provisions shall prevail. Complete copies of the 2015 PAG Standard Specifications and Details for Public Improvements are available for purchase in printed or electronic format through the PAG online ordering system at http://apps.pagregion.com/standardspecifications/. Contractors and bidders are expected to obtain and comply with these specifications as part of their bid preparation and project execution requirements.
