I. Amendment 0002 is issued to answer the following questions. In addition, the due date for offerors is extended to Monday, January 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. EST.

Question:

1) If DSCR has moved to California, what generator will these large cylinders be coming from and what chemicals are anticipated being ordered in them? The list of chemicals that may be shipped under the CY02 category in particular is quite broad and the pricing varies greatly.

Answer:

All items turned in under CY02M4-M6 and CY08M4-M6 would be turned in by the Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) Reserve in Richmond. DLA Aviation would be the Generator. Compressed gases turned in under those CLINs are refrigerants/ODSs.

Question:

2) We noticed cylinders with a M4, M5 and M6 rating. I looked into DLA’s CLIN suffix table, however the cylinder sizes only went up to “M3”. Could you please issue a Mod describing what these cylinder sizes are?

Answer:

Cylinder CLIN Suffix Key:

Lecture (ME) = up to 3"x 12", Small (M1) = up to 4"x 24", Medium (M2) = up to 12"x 36", Large (M3) = up to 16"x 56".

Special container sizes used at ODS Reserve located in Richmond, VA are: M4 = up to 8" x 27", M5 = up to 30"x 51.5", and M6 = up to 30"x 81.5".

Dimensions do NOT include valves or handles.

II. All other solicitation requirements remain unchanged.
