About this file
This document contains a Data Item Description (DID) for an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) related to the solicitation for Logistics Modernization Integration Support (LMIS) for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution. The DID outlines requirements for the IMS to logically network detailed program activities, contain the contractor's anticipated events, accomplishments, milestones, and criteria, and be provided to the government in Microsoft Project format. The IMS must include descriptive titles for all projects, sub-projects, activities and tasks; describe the contractor's approach to limit identified schedule risks; and require government approval for any revisions. The related solicitation seeks proposals for LMIS support to DLA Distribution and involves the Defense Logistics Agency as the contracting agency.

DD Form 1664 (BLANK)
1 TITLE: Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
2 IDENTIFICATION NUMBER: DI-DLAMGMT-00011
3 DESCRIPTIONPURPOSE: 3.1 The IMS is a document that logically networks detailed program activities necessary to ensure successful execution. It is the foundation of the Contractor's performance Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) and provides a hierarchy for event planning, traceability, and summarization back to the Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS). The IMS will contain the Contractor's anticipated events, accomplishments, milestones, and criteria. This information will be used by the Government to perform oversight, verify attainability of project objectives, evaluate the progress of efforts towards objectives, and to integrate the program schedule among all related components, tasks, subtasks, and/or intra-related programs.

6a DTIC APPLICABLE: N/A
6b GIDEP APPLICABLE: N/A
7 APPLICATIONINTERRELATIONSHIP: 7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) is applicable to all contractor performance and work actions necessary to comply with requirements described within the contract.

9a APPLICABLE FORMS: N/A
9b AMSC NUMBER: N/A
10 PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: 10.1 Format: The logic diagram for the IMS must be in Contractor design in the form of a network, milestone, or Gantt chart unless otherwise specified on the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL / DD Form 1423). Unless stated otherwise on the CDRL, the deliverable to the Government must be provided in digital format and viewable using the latest revision of Microsoft Project available.
10.2 Content: The schedule must contain the anticipated events, milestones, accomplishments, criteria, projects, sub-projects, activities, projected dates, intermediate and detailed schedules, and days or time periods for completion of action items from contract award to the completion of the contract. The schedule must be an integrated, logical network-based schedule that correlates the program's activities to the contract, and is traceable to the schedule reporting instrument used to address variances. The schedule will identify activity(ies) or task(s), their duration, slack or float, critical path, target start, target for completion, percent complete, and constraints (IE: Finish to Start (FS), Start to Start (SS), Finish to Finish (FF), or Start to Finish (SF). In addition to this information the IMS must also contain the following:
10.2.a Descriptive Titles: Projects, sub-projects, activities, tasks, events, and milestones must be labeled within the schedule with a brief descriptive title, numbered, or coded, and contain the time constraints described within this DID. Standardized abbreviations may be used to conserve space. Descriptive titles used must remain consistent throughout the duration of the IMS (IE: no rapid or inconsistent changing of nomenclatures).

1010 PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: 10.2.b Schedule Risk: The schedule must include a description of the Contractor's approach that will be taken to limit the schedule risks identified as a result of any risk assessment to the utmost extent practicable. Risk must be defined considering impact on cost, technical requirements / performance, and assessment of the probability in schedule change.
10.3 Revisions: Any revisions to the Government inspected and accepted IMS (including but not limited to) scheduled projects, sub-projects, activities, tasks, events, and milestones must be approved in writing by the Government Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) (if assigned) for the contract. Unless otherwise indicated by revision and date, the IMS submitted by the Contractor to the Government as cited within this DID will be considered the most up to date iteration. Revisions to the IMS must be provided by the Contractor with an accompanying summary that clearly identifies to the Government all changes at the time of submission.
