10. PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 Layout Drawings: The contractor shall provide drawings of the proposed system. Drawings shall be in AutoCad 2018 format, D Size Drawings (hard copy shall be provided also) and show equipment and location in relation to existing structural features, position, horsepower of all drive units, required utilities (air, electrical, water, etc.) connections and location of controls. In addition, the layout drawings shall be accompanied by schematics diagrams of each piece of equipment furnished, description of operation of the system, available manufacturer’s descriptive literature, performance characteristics, test data and drawings or photographs of all externally visible components of the equipment proposed including operator’s consoles. In the event that special installation adjustments or additional equipment components not supplied by the contractor are required for continuing operation of the equipment, these items shall be explicitly identified in accordance with paragraph 3 at this time. The contractor shall furnish the Government a listing and electrical load diagram of all electrical equipment being furnished for approval prior to start of installation. This listing shall include wire size, voltage drop calculations, size of conduit, circuit breakers and power disconnects in accordance with
CDRL A002.
10.2 As-built drawings: The as-built drawings shall in AutoCad 2018 format D Size drawings (hard copy shall be provided also) supplied and will show installed system in relation to structural features of the building, routing of utility lines ad connections, location of controls, process schematics and electrical diagrams. Any changes to the system configuration as depicted by any data submitted as part of the layout drawings shall be marked to the attention of the Government. (Continued)

10.1 The manual shall contain all information and data normally supplied with the hardware items.
10.2 The manual shall be supplemented with existing data to comply with the contract.
10.3 The manual and supplements shall be legible and on paper of sufficient quality for long term use. A CD of the manual shall also be supplied.
10.4 Manuals to be furnished must include sufficient information to satisfy all technical segments indicated in the “Description/Purpose” of block 3 and the following additional information.
a. The manual shall contain and index of the contents, section, markers or dividers where appropriate, and each manual shall be affixed or placed in a protective cover or binder or durable material, so as to provide a reasonable life under normal handling conditions. Minimum identification marking requirements for the manual cover or binder.
b. The Operation or Operator’s Manual (CDRL A0004) shall include in detail all actions required to activate, direct, operate and control the installed system/equipment. All aspects of material flow, push button station(s), console operation, panel view operation, other pertinent functions and visual aids to the extent necessary for clarity, shall be included.
c. The Parts and Maintenance Manual (CDRL A0005) shall contain the part name and identification, such as stock numbers, quantity required, sources of supply, and whether parts are manufactured by the contractor and/or sub-contractors, or are standard components purchased from other manufacturers identified in the data. Also, include a separate list identifying support items and applicable quantities which are recommended by the contractor for system maintenance for one year.

3.1 This documentation provides information on all Contractor supplied software to perform proper asset management of the system and equipment. This information is necessary to provide data required for Government documentation and retention.

7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) specifies format and content of data developed from the specified task of the procurement document.
7.2 This DID may be applied to programs or projects during Material Solution Analysis (MSA), Technology Maturation & Risk Reduction (TMRR), Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production & Deployment (P&D), and Operations & Support (O&S) phases of the Defense Acquisition Life Cycle.

10. PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 Format: The documentation must in the Contractor's design unless otherwise specified on the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL / DD Form 1423). Unless stated otherwise on the CDRL, the deliverable to the Government must be provided in digital format and viewable using the latest version of Microsoft Office or Adobe software products as applicable.
10.2 Content: The documentation must identify a complete software configuration and inventory for control system components. This documentation must include any "as built" drawings for Information Technology (IT) deployed within the system and applicable connection information. The documentation must also provide complete copies of configurations or code (such as ladder logic for PLCs) written for the deployed system / equipment.
10.3 Revisions: Unless otherwise indicated by revision and date, the documentation submitted by the Contractor to the Government as cited within this DID will be considered the most up to date iteration.
Revisions to documentation must be provided by the Contractor with an accompanying summary that clearly identifies to the Government all changes at the time of submission.
