About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for retrofitting an Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU) into an existing sewer system and abandoning a failing septic tank at a property located at 1730 Diamond Springs Road in Highland, Kansas. The project involves installing a 1,250-gallon, two-compartment concrete ATU tank with 24-inch access risers, an effluent filter, aerator, linear septic air pump, outdoor aerobic alarm and control panel, and vented air pump housing. Additionally, the contractor must replace approximately 30 feet of existing sewer pipe, install a 2-way cleanout within 5 feet of the house foundation, and properly abandon the existing septic tank.
The work must be performed under the direction of licensed personnel, with a minimum one-year warranty on materials and labor. The contractor is required to contact the Engineering Technician three business days before starting work, leave all work exposed for inspection, and restore the site to its original condition. The installation includes specific technical requirements for pipe slope, cleanout placement, tank bedding, and tank components, with detailed specifications for electrical connections, air pump characteristics, and testing procedures. The project is part of a Request for Quotes (RFQ) 246-25-Q-0074, which is a 100% Indian Owned set-aside under NAICS code 237110, with a performance period of 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
