About this file

This document is a Sign Standard Specifications guide for Hanover County, Virginia, establishing branding and design standards for signage associated with the Hanover County Administration Complex signage project. The guide provides detailed specifications for the Hanover County Seal and County Logo, including precise color definitions in CMYK, RGB, and hexadecimal formats. The document outlines mandatory requirements for seal usage, including prohibitions against retyping text, stretching, altering colors beyond provided options, distorting, changing fonts, and adding graphics or words. Multiple versions of the seal are available, including photo and non-photo versions, with options for variations without trees, image captions, and black and white alternatives. The specifications emphasize maintaining legibility and visual impact, particularly when reducing seal size, and recommend using the County Logo for applications requiring smaller images.

The guide serves as Appendix A to the overall signage project standards, with additional content options detailed in Appendix B for non-photo seal versions. No pricing terms, funding sources, set-asides, contract timelines, response dates, or award information are contained in this standards document. This specification sheet is intended as a reference tool to ensure consistent and appropriate application of Hanover County's visual identity across all signage elements for the county complex project.
