2 Background

2.1 The Coast Guard is recapitalizing the existing fleet of Trailerable Aids to Navigation boats;

the new boats shall be designated the Trailerable Aids to Navigation – Second Generation

(herein referred to as “TANB II” or the “boat”). The TANB II will be operated primarily by USCG Aids-to-Navigation Teams (ANTs), and its primary mission is to service fixed and floating aids to navigation. As the ANTs primarily deploy over the road, and launch boats from their trailer, the TANB II capability is considered a system consisting of the

TANB II boat and its trailer.

3 Scope

3.1 The Coast Guard intends to procure Trailerable Aids to Navigation Boats, including associated design, production, delivery, trailers, warranty, outfitting, spare parts, technical data, logistics data, testing, and training.
