PT VPIM Labor Categories Title: VPIM Program Lead Clearance: Top Secret Description/Duties:

The Vehicle Platform Integration Management (VPIM) Program Lead will oversee the engineering, integration, testing, fielding, sustainment, material management, logistics, and configuration management of supporting ancillary equipment for multiple vehicle platforms within the Diplomatic Security (DS) Armored Vehicle (AV) fleet. This includes AV power upgrades, center consoles and various mounting solutions for PT program equipment. The VPIM Program Lead interfaces with DS management and the Regional Security Officers (RSO) of Posts requesting support to assist with clarifying the requirements and formulating a suitable fielding plan for PT equipment as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide guidance and supervision to VPIM teammates.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.

Must possess a minimum of five years of technical and related experience in the field of coordination of and technical support for modern ECM and Tactical Communications systems. Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory, principles, and the effects of CREW systems operating in a high electromagnetic environment is desired. Understanding of insurgent Improvised Explosive (IED) emplacement tactics is desired. Must be able to develop Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTP’s) for deploying vehicles equipped with CREW systems based on the national, local, and immerging Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) threat. Must be able to establish and maintain intra-organizational and external contacts.

Must demonstrate expertise in all DS platform configurations and mastery of Protective Technology (PT) life safety equipment and its application in AV platforms. This expertise is paramount to ensure successful deployment of PT equipment in any AV platform, and to provide the necessary life safety protection and Situational Awareness (SA) for DS motorcades.

Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination Title: VPIM QC/Safety Site Lead Clearance: Top Secret Description/Duties:

This position serves a critical role within the Protective Technology, VPIM Section. Responsible for all quality assurance and quality control aspects related to all VPIM Projects and integration projects including: preparation of the Project Specific Quality Control Plan, inspections and test plans, check-sheets and related procedures; implementation of the Quality Management & Control program for the project; daily site/vehicle inspection and periodical offsite inspections;

controlling all inspection activities on site; completion of necessary documentation to verify the work performed; ensuring that inspection requests are implemented; ensuring that all inspection reports are verified and meet the contract requirements; ensuring that all materials and systems delivered to site are installed into the vehicle in accordance with integration manuals, that they are inspected and conform to specified requirements from the vendor. Issue and administer Non Conformance Reports as necessary and ensure follow up. Report to the Project Lead any deficiencies in the operation of Quality Management & Control System. Complete final quality documentation that consistently meets or exceeds content and template standards, including any unique requestor requirements or audience accommodations. Ensure that content is clear, concise, technically accurate and easily understood.

Previous Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), MVS, APS tactical and non-tactical radio, and configuration management experience a plus. Experience with U.S. Department of State specific systems and Harris radios is desired.

The VPIM Configuration Manager III will assist program leads to resolve problems; complete audits; determine system improvements; implement change. Under general supervision, manage specialized and technical functions, review and documentation of curriculum data bases. Provide technical writing support and objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide guidance and supervision to VPIM Configuration Managers and support others involved in the VPIM mission.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Title: VPIM Automotive Engineer II Clearance: Top Secret Description/Duties:

The Automotive Engineer SME is a subject matter expert who engages in all aspects of the Vehicle Platform and Integration Management (VPIM) program and provides expert insight on vehicle integration issues. The Automotive Engineer supports U.S. Department of State vehicle requirements in multiple overseas theaters in potentially high-threat environments and may be required to deploy TDY to these locations in support of the VPIM engineering effort. During overseas deployments, the Automotive Engineer may be required to rotate between theaters and to multiple locations within each theater. The Automotive Engineer reports directly to the VPIM Program Manager and will support the engineering efforts of the VPIM program. The Automotive Engineer will develop complete vehicle integration solutions and the associated bill of materials for each platform to provide a finished product to be properly fielded. The Automotive Engineer with work closely with Contingency Communications Radio (CCR) and Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) engineers to ensure interoperability when applicable.

The Automotive Engineer will be responsible to verify each vehicle platform can support the power requirements of all integrated systems, as well as other associated equipment and provide solutions when required. The Automotive Engineer will develop comprehensive test plans as well as provide on-site U.S. Department of State oversight during verification testing in accordance with configuration management protocols. The Automotive Engineer will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of

It does replace the specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. The Automotive Engineer will apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Physics Engineering, as well as five years of technical experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern vehicle systems. Must have knowledge of vehicle computer, tuning, power train, and power generation systems. Experience working with vehicles equipped with ECM, CCR, and/or high RF Output systems. Must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of vehicles used by the U.S. Department of State, which include General Motors, Toyota, and/or BMW models.

The VPIM Electronics Technician I assists in all aspects of vehicle integration projects. The VPIM Electronics Technician I supports U.S. Department of State VPIM requirements for multiple overseas theaters / potentially high-threat environments. While primarily CONUS assigned, the VPIM Electronics Technician I may be required to travel to OCONUS theaters and rotate between multiple locations within each theater. The VPIM Electronics Technician I will demonstrate and apply knowledge of the integration of ECM, CCR, MVS, and vehicle power and cooling upgrades through successful completion of moderately complex assignments under the supervision of more senior teammates. The VPIM Electronics Technician I will demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of the U.S. Department of State VPIM program.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.

Must possess 2 years of technical experience in electronics and/or modern communications systems or a related field and be able to successfully demonstrate key responsibilities and knowledge. Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory and principle, the effects of CREW systems operating in an electronic countermeasures environment, and /or modern ECM systems a plus. Experience planning vehicle movements, with vehicles equipped with CREW systems a plus. Understanding insurgent Improvised Explosive (IED) emplacement tactics and/or developing Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTP’s) for deploying vehicles equipped with CREW systems based on the national, local, and immerging Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) threat a plus. PT ECM Labor Categories Title: ECM Program Lead Clearance: Top Secret Description/Duties:

The Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Program Lead is an ECM subject matter expert who engages in all aspects of the ECM program and provides expert guidance on ECM issues. The ECM Program Lead supports U.S. Department of State ECM requirements in multiple overseas and domestic locations in potentially high-threat environments. The ECM Program Lead oversees engineering, future ECM System (ECMS) identification/development, system validation and interoperability, generation of bills of material, program logistics, fielding and sustainment of multiple vehicle mounted ECM platforms, dis-mounted ECM systems, Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS), and purpose built ECM systems.

The ECM Program Lead will also determine the priorities of work for ECM Engineering cell. The ECM Program Lead will work closely with Protective Technology Operations, Contingency Communications

Radio (CCR), Mobile Video Systems (MVS), as well as Sense and Warn (S&W) to ensure all ECM projects and fielding performed within the Configuration Management guidelines established within Protective Technology. The ECM Program Lead interfaces with DS senior management and Regional Security Officer (RSO) to clarify requirements and formulate a fielding plan for ECM equipment and personnel.

The Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Deputy Program Lead is an ECM subject matter expert who engages in all aspects of the ECM program and provides expert guidance on ECM issues. The ECM Deputy Program Lead supports U.S. Department of State ECM requirements in multiple overseas and domestic locations in potentially high-threat environments. The ECM Deputy Program Lead assists in overseeing engineering, future ECM System (ECMS) identification/development, system validation and interoperability, generation of bills of material, program logistics, fielding and sustainment of multiple vehicle mounted ECM platforms, dis-mounted ECM systems, Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS), and purpose built ECM systems. The ECM Deputy Program Lead will also determine the priorities of work for ECM Engineering cell. The ECM Deputy Program Lead will work closely with Protective Technology Operations, Contingency Communications Radio (CCR), Mobile Video Systems (MVS), as well as Sense and Warn (S&W) to ensure all ECM projects and fielding performed within the Configuration Management guidelines established within Protective Technology.
