About this file
This document is a sample contract template from the County Commissioners of Charles County, Maryland, designed for a government procurement process. The template is structured to establish the terms and conditions for a contractor to provide services for a specific solicitation (RFQ/ITB/RFP), with placeholders for key details such as the contractor's name, total contract value, project duration, and specific service requirements. The contract allows for the contractor to commence work upon receiving a written Notice to Proceed and requires completion within a specified number of consecutive calendar days.
The contract template includes provisions for payment, performance, and compliance with General and Special Provisions, which would be attached to the final contract. The document emphasizes the mutual obligations of both the contractor and the county, including the contractor's commitment to faithfully provide necessary services and the county's commitment to compensate the contractor according to the agreed-upon terms. The template also includes specific instructions for signing, including requirements for corporate seals, signatures, and witnessing, depending on the type of business entity involved in the contract.
