About this file
This is a non-uniformed employee dress code policy document issued by the State of South Carolina. The document establishes and outlines the professional dress code standards applicable to non-uniformed state employees across all agencies and departments. The policy provides detailed guidance on acceptable and unacceptable attire, grooming standards, and appearance requirements designed to maintain a professional work environment and ensure consistent standards across the state workforce. The dress code applies to all non-uniformed employees during regular business hours and specifies different standards for various work settings and situations, including client-facing positions and office environments.
The document serves as an administrative guideline rather than a procurement or contracting opportunity and does not contain pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractors, or funding requirements. The policy is intended for internal state government use and applies uniformly to all eligible non-uniformed employees regardless of employment status or compensation level. No contract award dates, renewal options, or response deadlines are applicable to this administrative policy document.
